Virginie Chemla is a French artist based in Barcelona. After several years working in the fashion industry, as a full-time art director and fashion designer, she began to expand her artistic expression by working independently, with a deep focus on her works as a painter, as well as being a freelance art director, graphic designer and illustrator. Virginie describes her approach as “being focused on personal emancipation, curiosity for human interactions, behaviours, feelings and all of our contradiction, and stretches the boundaries of academic rules to accommodate her independent and explosive artistic vision.
